Funding from the Harry P. Ward Foundation is restricted to charitable organizations in Ottawa and the greater Ottawa Valley whose activities address the purposes outlined in the mission statement. Grants are given for specific projects rather than a contribution to operating costs.  Typical Ward Foundation donations are normally limited to $1000.00 to $2500.00.

Funding decisions are made twice a year. Applications must be submitted by:
‍September 30th for review in November (winter cycle) or by March 30th for review in May (summer cycle).
